GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SPINDLE BALL BEARINGS

The following characteristics apply to all standard sizes as well as lubricated and separable spindle ball bearings.

  • Bore diameter 5–120 mm
  • Nominal contact angle 15°–25°
  • Forces are transferred at this contact angle from one raceway to another
  • Optimized for maximum RPM
  • Takes high radial and axial loads
  • These must be placed against a second bearing
  • Larger number of balls than with deep groove ball bearings
  • High rigidity and load capacity
  • All designs and sizes are available as hybrid bearings
  • All GMN ball bearings are available greased
  • All GMN bearing bore sizes are available with various outer diameters
