The GMN labyrinth seal is used in the milling head to protect the high precision spindle bearings.
Our labyrinth seals can be positioned in front of any standard contact seal in order to protect the contact seal against any rough contamination. With this application the lifetime of the complete sealing system can be increased remarkably.
This example shows the protection of a contact seal (here a Prelon Ring) which is protected against abrasive chips. These chips could destroy the rubber material of the contact seal in a very short time!
