Requirements to the mating parts depending on the model range

GMN freewheel clutch program is a modular system: The basic elements are the GMN insert elements (type FE) consisting of

• a cage,
• a certain number of sprags and
• a spring.

There are certain requirements on the surrounding construction for the use of insert elements:

Requirements on the mating parts:

• The races (shaft and housing) must be hardened and ground (HRC = 60+4, Rz >= 2.5)
• Insert elements need additional bearing support
• Sufficient lubrication (oil or grease) has to be provided
  

The combination of our insert elements with inner rings and outer rings, bearing support and seals reduces the requirements on the surrounding construction considerably.
