The technical properties and design quality of the cage exert major influence on the operational performance of the bearing, particularly with extreme loads and high speeds.
GMN uses cages made of textile reinforced phenolic resin as standard and since more than 15 years the extremely resilient TXM cage made of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) as standard too. The TXM cage is suitable for temperatures up to 250°C and designed especially for grease lubrication.
