Hybrid ball bearings are ball bearings with rings made of steel and balls of ceramics.
Today they have become indispensable for many areas of application because they offer enormous advantages compared to pure steel / steel bearings with regard to speed, load capacity, rigidity and service life.
The advantages have been clearly demonstrated by numerous trials and successful use in the field.
The material consists predominantly of silicon nitride Si3N4.
All ball bearings of the GMN production range are available as hybrid bearings.
